Ecuadorians sure know how to party. They love to sing, dance and drink! The most popular beer in Ecuador is Pilsner beer. It's refreshing especially on a hot day and tastes like a light beer. On Friday night, I went out with Kary and some of her friends to a karaoke bar called Algun Bar (which means Some Bar lol). There were TV screens next to most of the tables playing karaoke style videos. There was also one mic per table where you could sing along with everyone else in the bar. So much fun. I've never seen any bar like this before. The bar also had a dance floor where you could dance. Most people dance columbiano and some cubano salsa. Most of the music played at this bar was Latin - mostly reggaeton, some salsa and virtually no bachata (they played one bachata song based on my request hehe so I got to dance that one with Kary). Drinks were about 3-4USD for a beer.

Alrite, that was FRIDAY night! Here's Saturday. On Saturday, we actually went to the same place because it was so fun the night before. They had a promotion this night and we paid $20USD for ALL-U-CAN-DRINK drinks!! Ohhhhh ya!
These were good times not just because we could drink and let loose but the stories I exchanged with Kary and her friends reaffirmed my thoughts that bullshit exists in the same form in both our countries wether it be in work or family or in life. And that we could come together and share our experiences (good and bad) and find a mutual bond where we could celebrate life or forget about those things which shouldn't mean much. Party on Maricarmen, Mara (congrats to Mara - she just found out she will be a mom!) Belen and Carlos!! Good times you guys!! :)
